November 24, 1914 - May 26, 1972
Funeral services for William Frank Clemens, 57, of Odessa, Texas, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Cullendale Assembly of God Church. Mr. Clemens, a former resident of Bearden, died Friday in a veterans hospital in Big Springs, Texas. He was a retired sand-blaster, and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Era Quarles Clemens; two sons, Johnny and Lonnie Clemens; and three daughters, Mrs. Martha Cockrell, Mrs. Rena Hill and Mrs. Nina Young, all of Odessa; his mother, Mrs. Ludie Clemens of Camden; two brothers, Elbert Clemens of Kermit, Texas, and Rev. Mitchell Clemens of Delight; four sisters, Mrs. Hugh Wallingsford, Mrs. Evie Quarles, Mrs. Carl Harris and Mrs. Ferrell Lusby, all of Camden, and 12 grandchildren. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, near Bearden, by Proctors. (Camden News - May 29, 1972)
