Services Held For Former Oxford Man

Graveside services were held and burial was made in the Oxford Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon September 22 for James Harmon Clinton who died quite unexpectedly at Little Rock on Sunday, September 20.

Mr. Clinton was born, grew up, and lived part of his married life in the vicinity of Oxford, but had resided in Little Rock for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ione Sears Clinton, of the home, two sons, Bailey Clinton of Schofield, Wisconsin and Jimmy Clinton of the home in Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Demo Lee Ryburn and Mrs. Berry Jane Fureigh both of Little Rock; three brothers, Ernest Clinton, West Plains, Mo., Fred Clinton, Detroit, Michigan and Tollie Clinton of Pineville, Ark.; one sister Mrs. Grace Clinton Prewitt, of West Plains, Mo.; four grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held earlier in the day by Griffin-Leggett Funeral Chapel in Little Rock by the Rev. L. D. Foreman, pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member. Burial was in charge of Griffin-Leggett.
