Mrs. Hattie Julian, Oxford Resident, Passes Away

Mrs. Hattie Helm Julian widow of the late Richard Julian, passed away while sleeping Friday night, August 10. She was found early Saturday morning by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Etta Helm, with whom she was making her home.
Mrs. Julian was born near Hardy, Arkansas, November 6, 1881 and was married to Richard Julian October 25, 1913. Mr. Julian preceded her in death by several years. Mrs. Julian had been a member of the Church of Christ since early childhood and was a devoted and consecrated Christian.
She is survived by two step-children, Mrs. George Stroud of Hobart, Oklahoma and Boyce Julian of Washington state, six step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild, two brothers, Jim Helm of Oxford and J. J. Helm of Oxford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Oxford Church of Christ by Jack Hobby of Calico Rock with Earl Dillard in charge of the song service. Burial followed in the Oxford cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Salem. Casket bearers were nephews of the deceased, Hershel Helm, Hayden Helm, Arlin Helm, Ernest Helm, Baxter Helm and C. W. Julian.
