HINDMAN, Robert C. - Robert C. Hindman was born March 27, 1857 at Rock Creek, Atcheson Co., Mo. Died at Gravette, Ark. Aug. 12, 1919; age 62 years, 5 months and 9 days. He was converted at the age of 19 and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church. Later in life he united with the Methodist church. Bro. Hindman lived a consistent Christian life and during his illness he manifested great faith in God and retained a cheerful and courageous disposition. He was married Aug. 6, 1879 to Mary E. Hutchens; to this union were born eight children, four having preceded him to the beyond. Those living were at his bedside when death came: Dr. Wm. Hindman, Burlington Junction, Mo.; Ralph of Gravette; Mrs. S.O. Weeks of Jenks, Okla.; and Mrs. Flossie Lewis of Gravette. There were also present from Missouri two brothers and two sisters: H.O. Sly, Mrs. Geo. Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Hurst. His companion also survives. The body was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Aug. 13, 1919. We give our hearts in sympathy to the home and bid them trust it all to Him who doeth all things well.- Pastor.
