Claude Caldwell Local Attorney Died Saturday

Claude A. Caldwell, 62 of Melbourne, a lawyer and president of the Tri-County Bar Association, died Saturday in a Calico Rock hospital.
He was a member of Melbourne Lodge No. 141 of F. & A. Masons and the Knights Templar. He was a former Mayor of Oxford.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gale Caldwell of Calico Rock and Paul Blair of Oxford; a daughter, Miss Martha Jane Caldwell of Little Rock; a brother, Adley H. Caldwell of Kansas; five sisters, Mrs. O. C. Martin of Oxford, Mrs. J. B. Ballard of Calico Rock, Mrs. Ollie Stockton of Bristow, Okla., and Mrs. D. S. Patterson and Miss Ruby J. Caldwell, both of Little Rock; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Oxford Church of Christ with burial in the Oxford Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers were Newt Blankenship, Billy McCurry, Herbert Moss, Fisher Moss, Morris Montgomery and David Montgomery.
Honorary pallbearers were the officials of the Izard County and Tri-County Bar Association; the Oxford town council and Herschel Parish, Oxford town marshal.
