TOM BARNES
Tom Barnes, 91, of Kansas City, Mo., former resident of Fayetteville, died Aug. 19 in Kansas City. Born March 16, 1887, at Ozark, he was the son of Field and Elsie Tyson Barnes, a member of St. James Methodist Church in Fayetteville and a retired farmer.
Survivors include four sons, Tommie Barnes and J.D. Barnes of Kansas City, Arthur Barnes of Wichita, Kan. and Ylon Barnes of Oakland, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Barker of Fayetteville and Miss Ann Barnes of Kansas City; 38 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. James Methodist Church, Fayetteville. Burial will be in Lincoln (Bean) Cemetery, Lincoln, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
