Lester Earl White of Memphis, Tennessee was born on January 25, 1918 in Alabama. He died May 21, 1995 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis at the age of 77.

He married Dollie Ingle on July 13, 1977 in Memphis. He worked as a truck driver for Shelby County and was a World War II veteran and a member of the Ridgeway Assembly of God Church.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Dollie of the home; one step-son, Cleon Edmonston of Pineville; one sister, Blanche Barnhill of Randolph, Alabama; five step-daughters, Jean Bruegeman of Conway; Betty Sherrill of Old Joe; Jo Ann Ellis of Melbourne; Melba Hinson of Wynne; Linda Johnson of Richmond, Virginia; seventeen step-grandchildren; and seventeen step-grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Services were May 23 at Howard Chapel in Melbourne with Wesley Payne officiating.

Pallbearers were Herbert Hinson, Marvis Sherrill, Robert Bruegman, Cleon Edmonston, Rick Sherrill and Michael Bailey.

Interment was at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
