ASH FLAT — Elaine Elizabeth Combs, 84, of Ash Flat, formerly of Kirksville, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, in Ash Flat.
Born Sept. 13, 1927, in Novinger, Mo., she was the daughter of Noah and Stella Sparks. She was united in marriage to George Combs on Jan. 12, 1946. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three children, Connie Dillard of Oxford, Annabelle Craigg of New Cambria, Mo., and Andrew Combs of Ash Flat; two grandchildren, Jody Dillard of Ash Flat and Bryan Dillard of Melbourne; and two great-grandsons, Parker Dillard and Price Dillard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Robert Craigg Jr.; two brothers, Edward and Roy Sparks; and a sister, Beaulah Rush.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today in Oxford Cemetery with John Hodges officiating. Arrangements were by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
