MOUNTAIN HOME — Vivian Robins Roddy, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, in Mountain Home.

Born Aug. 19, 1923, in Oxford, she was the daughter of Houston Grover Robins and Sara Elizabeth Gifford Robins. She was employed by Baxter Laboratories in Mountain Home, retiring after 25 years of employment. She was of the Church of Christ faith and attended Oakland Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Sammy Vernon Roddy of Melbourne; a brother, Cleo Robins of Washington; five grandchildren, Sammy Wayne Roddy of Grant, Ala., Kathy Johanson of California, Shana Deann Williams of St. Louis, Susan Michele Roddy of Batesville and Mika Alexander of Oxford; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, R.D Robins; and three sisters, Edith Reynolds, Thelma Gilstrap and Wanda Robins.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Billy Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.
