White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, June 18, 2009:
Pauline Grammer Layne, daughter of the late James Fred Grammer and Anna Mabel Mapps Grammer, was born January 21, 1932 in Dixie, Arkansas. She departed this life on June 13, 2009 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 77 years.
Pauline is survived by two sons, and daughters-in-law, four brothers; four sisters; fifteen grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, R. C. “Ray” Layne, one son, four brothers, one sister, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Funeral service was June 17, 2009 with Josh Lobdell and Jim Weston officiating. Burial at Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Little Rock.
