*Obituary
Louis Arlington Petet, 76, died at his home near Lockesburg, Friday, February 6, at 10 am, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, February 8, at 2:30 o'clock at the Odd Fellows cemetery near Lockesburg, where interment was made under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev Leland Bolds, pastor of the DeQueen Catholic church, and by Fitzhugh Lee Camo No. 12, United Spanish War Veterans, of DeQueen.
He was born October 31, 1865, at Knoxville, Iowa. He was a Spanish-American War veteran, member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and Modern Woodmen.
He is survived by five sons, J W Peter, Carmen, Oklahoma; F E Petet, Omaha, Nebraska; Ralph and Lee Petet, Plattsmouth, Nebraska; and H V Petet, DeQueen, Arkansas; two daughters, Mrs W F Athey, Clovis, New Mexico; and L L Block, Roosevelt, Oklahoma; three brothers, Ben Petet, Sargent, Nebraska; George Petet, Hamilton, Montana; and Bert Petet, Caldwell, Idaho; four sisters, Allie Hively, Norfork, Nebraska; Mrs James B Adams, Caldwell, Idaho; Mrs Henry Eggers, Hamilton, Montana; and Mrs. Bill Brown, Lincoln, Nebraska; sixteen grandchildren.
