MRS. CLARA BELLE RITTMAN

Death again entered our midst and removed our friend and neighbor, Mrs. Clara Belle Rittman, beloved wife of J.J. Rittman, of near Highfill, Ark., June 10, 1936, aged 59 years. She was born near Lovington, Ill.

She was deprived of a mother’s love in youth being only 13 years old when her mother died.

She was united in marriage in Illinois to J.J. Rittman, foreman of a mine at that place, and truly lived a happy married life.

She united in early life with the M.E. Church and lived a consistent Christian life and was truly a wonderful woman, far over the average of womanhood, and to know this good woman was to love her, which was certainly demonstrated at the funeral as her neighbors grieved and mourned the passing of the good woman and ideal housekeeper, and companion who ministered to her aged husband, who is also in failing health.

She is survived by her husband, two brothers, John B. Cummings of Chicago, Ray Cummings, who resides near St. Louis, Mo., also nieces and nephews and other relatives, friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted her in her last illness, which was of several months duration, but she bore it bravely, never murmuring.

Funeral services were conducted at the Douglas cemetery by Rev. Bridenthal of Gentry.
