The Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, July 6, 1995:
Lodema Jean Yancey of Oxford, daughter of Mary Lou (Mooney) Montgomery and the late Ray Montgomery, was born at Morristown. She died June 30, 1995 at the Medical Center of Calico Rock at the age of 63. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oxford Church of Christ.
Mrs. Yancey is survived by two sons, James Otho Yancey of Oxford and Luther Alison Yancey of Horseshoe Bend; her mother of Oxford; a brother Norman Rosco Montgomery of Flippin; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Delbert Yancey and a sister.
Services were held July 3 at the Oxford Church of Christ with Terry Frazell and Virgil Ferrell officiating.
Pallbearers were: Noel Mills, Doyle Mills, Ricky Mills, Jimmy Mills, Oral Mills and Eugene MCord.
Interment was at the Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
