Services at Oxford For Baby Taylor

John Anthony, the eighteen months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Taylor of Kansas City, Mo., was born December 16, 1958 in a Kansas City hospital and passed away July 5, 1960 in the parental home there following a very brief illness. Besides his parents little Anthony is survived by one brother, Dana of the home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordie Taylor of Oxford; his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. David Redman of Ontario, Calif.; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many other more distant relatives.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, July 9 at the Oxford Baptist Church by the Rev. Hugh Cooper of Melbourne.
The memorial songs by the choir, “Beyond the Sunset” and “Gathering Buds” were directed by Earl Dillard with Mrs. Otho “Ruth” Webb at the piano. Two special selections, “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” and “God has Transplanted a Flower”, were sung by the Misses Paulette and Katherine Rowden.
Burial was made in the Oxford Cemetery by the Carter Funeral Service of Salem under the direction of Al Pomeroy.
Casket bearers were Carroll Taylor, Harold Taylor, Gerald Taylor and Kenneth Powell, all of whom are cousins of the deceased child.
