Kee Jane Cantrell of Oxford, Arkansas daughter of the late John Powell and Fannie (Muss) Powell was born February 1, 1894 in Pineville, Arkansas. She died November 3, 1993 at Calico Rock Medical Center at the age of 99 years, 9 months and two days.

Kee was united in marriage to Walter D. Cantrell on March 10, 1909 in Pineville, Arkansas and to this union 10 children, one son and nine daughters were born.

Kee spent her working years as a housewife and was a member of the Oxford Methodist Church in Oxford, Arkansas.

Kee is survived by one son, Roe Cantree of Oxford, Arkansas; seven daughters, Lois Caruthers of Oxford; Maybelle Martin of Oxford; Odell Standerford of Wenatchee, Washington; Ruby Evans of Salem, Arkansas; Willie Rains of Wenatchee, Washinton; Pauline Campbell of Wenatchee, Washington; and Lenora Yancey of Oxford; 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two daughters, Lotha Martin and Glendora Cantrell, one brother and five sisters.

Services were November 5, 1993 at Oxford Methodist Church with Brother Bobby Coleman officiating.

Pallbearers were Rick Yancey, Bill Martin, Jim Cantrell, Junior Caruthers, Doyle Martin, and Jerry Cantrell.

Interment was at Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Arkansas, under the direction of McGee-Estes Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
