Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Land, 58, of Bastrop, LA, a homemaker who died Sunday, September 12, 1999, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, in the Golden Funeral Home chapel in Bastrop with Rev. Steve Fowler officiating. Burial followed services at the Lick Prairie Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Marchel Land of Bastrop; three sons, David Crouch of Blacklick, Ohio, Mark Crouch of Elberta, AL, and Stephen Crouch of Crossett; three sisters, Sybil Stewart of Monticello, Brenda Tomerlin of Hamburg and Jesse Hurdle of Perryville, LA; seven brothers, Bill Kelems of Hot Springs, John W. Kelley of Crossett, Lonnie Cockrell of Hamburg, and Murray and Anthony Cockrell of Crossett; and five grandsons. Pallbearers were Leonard Baskin, George Brown, Lynn Deal, Dyar Eppinette, Steve Walker and William Gorman. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Cockrell, Randy Tomerlin and Glen Elliott.
