SPRINGDALE — Dale E. Wade, 86, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the Walnut Grove Nursing Center.
Dale was born on Nov. 22, 1927 near Nob Hill, Ark., a son of George Wade and Blanche Harp Wade. He was the widower of the late Wanda Getz Wade, whom he married on Oct. 21, 1966, and who preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2010.
Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, serving with distinction and earning the Purple Heart.
He was a truck driver for Willis Shaw Express until 1981 when he staled driving for Walmart until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his leisure time.
He is survived by two sons, Scott and wife, Cindi Wade, and Buddy Wade, all of Springdale; four sisters, Bonnie Graham of Nob Hill, Betty Bohannon of Springdale, Beulah Stamps of Sonora, and Thelma Ellis of Tontitown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on today, Feb. 25, 2014, from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. Burial will be conducted at the Sonora Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.

SPRINGDALE — Wanda Mae Wade, 72, of Springdale, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. She was born on July 5, 1938, in West Fork, Ark., a daughter of Christy and Glayda (Starks) Getz.
She wss preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister.
Wanda was a homemaker and loved her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Everett Wade, of the home; two sons, Buddy Eugene Wade and Scott Leon Wade and his wife, Cindi, all of Springdale; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bruce Getz and his wife, Marie, of St. Paul, Ark.
Visitation will be held at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, with Pastor Earl Dean Morris officiating the service.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Stamps, Leland Newman, Dwayne Getz, Roger Wade, Jason Gremard, Rick Bohanmon, Matt Francis and Jeremy Benson.
Commital service to follow at the Sonora Cemetery in Sonora, Ark.
