A combination of different sites were used to obtain information on the African American Civil War Soldiers, in order to have as much information as possable. 1st were the memorials themselves, 2nd was the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, 3rd was the Civil War Soldiers & Sailors System, 4th was Rootsweb World Connect Project & 5th was Find A Grave information that was written by contributors.
