Ira West, 78, of Springdale, died Sept. 11 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born March 10, 1900, at Cincinnati, he was the son of Edward and Nancy Hurn West, a retired farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith West of the home; two sons, Richard West of Springdale and Wayne West of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Boone of Jacksboro, Texas and Mrs. Marguerite Stevens of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Birdie Mason of Prairie Grove and Mrs. Eva Cuttler of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Nelson Funeral Home of Fayetteville.

Services for Ira West, 78, of Springdale, were at 2 p.m. today in Burkshed Church with the Rev. George Lynch officiating. Burial was in Burkshed Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home of Fayetteville.

Pallbearers, all grandsons, were James Stevens, Donald Stevens, Lester Stevens, Jim Pitts, Eugene Brandeburg and Jack West.
