Annie Marie Parks Rice, 77, of Crossett died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Born July 29, 1927, in Torn, OK, to Oliver P. and Martha Ann Wicker Parks, she lived in Little River County and was a member of Little River Country Club for 15 years, where she was an avid golfer. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Rice Jr. of Crossett; three sons, David Rice and wife Brenda, Jerry Rice and wife Clarissa, all of Crossett, and Randy Rice and wife Lisa of Milo; one daughter, Elaine Barnstable of DeQueen; four brothers, Jim Parks of Winthrop, O. J. Parks of Parks, Virgil Parks of Utah and Bruce Parks of Texas; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Rice; one daughter, Linda Gayle Rice; one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Mark Mosher and Brent Hutsell officiating. Burial was to follow at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were to be Frank Ross, Troy Wisecarver, Tom Akin, Chris Rice, Shane Rice and Leo Wright. Honorary pallbearer was to be Norman Bryant.
