Harvey Rice, Jr., age 81, of Crossett, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at his residence. He was born on October 9, 1926 to his parents, Harvey Samuel and Lillie Alexander Rice in Portland, AR. Mr. Rice was a retired supervisor from Georgia-Pacific and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Marie Rice, a son, Calvin Rice, a daughter, Linda Gayle Rice, a great grandson, Robert Calvin Howard, two brothers, Jessie D. Rice, Kenneth Samuel Rice and a sister, Christine Rice.
Survivors include four sons, David Rice (Brenda), Jerry Rice (Clarissa), both of Crossett, Randy Rice (Lisa) of Milo, AR and Devin Chance Rice of DeRidder, LA; three daughters, Elaine Barnstable of DeQueen, AR, Lola Hookie of Lockesburg, AR, Linda Stewart (James) of DeQueen, AR; two sisters, Evelyn Parks of Horatio, AR, Gertrude Moyers of Snyder, AR; ten grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and a special friend, Maxine Murphy.
