Mikey Navarro, 15, of Crossett, died Friday, February 4, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. He was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett; a student at Norman Junior High and he attended the West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Abernathy and her husband, Beau, of Crossett; his father, Michael Navarro and his wife, Natalie, of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; four brothers, David Navarro of Fort Lewis, Washington, Jacob Navarro of Hawaii, Beau Abernathy of Crossett and Zachary Abernathy of Charleston, South Carolina; six sisters, Brittany Navarro of Crossett; Kayla Navarro of Hawaii, Taylor Navarro of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Savannah Abernathy and Jessica Abernathy both of Crossett and Alyssa Abernathy of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandparents, Lester Fay Forrest and Jimmy Ray & Margaret K. Bardin all of Crossett; Mike & Judy Navarro of Sparks, Nevada and Linda Dunivan of Hayward, California and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton Hales officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Skylar Abernathy, John Lochala, Joseph Lochala, Jonny Courtney, Daniel Reap and Beau Abernathy. Honorary pallbearers are J.D. Newbels, Seth Abernathy, Keegan Ganaway, Chazz Rice, Alex Braswell and Zach Barnett. Visitation will be after 4 p.m., Sunday at his grandparent's home at 2001 Virginia Mann Road, Crossett.
