Enlisted 1861; also 12th Battalion Ark Sharpshooters, CSA; with 12th for Jan and Feb 1863;
12th Ark Sharpshooters commanded by Major Wm. F. Rapley; paid by Capt. White through Oct 1862;
12th Battalion part of Cabell's command;
Elected Sr 2nd Lt. in 1863 and Captain at the Siege of Port Hudson, La. on July 9, 1863; POW aboard the steamer "Planet" for transport up the Miss. river to prison;
Was a Justice of the Peace in Ashley Co. Ark. for 35 years and assisted in the development of a local school; died 21 Jun 1922.
