John Steckley son of Jakob Friederich Stueckel and Magdalene Ropp Stueckel. Flossie Pearl (Kipfer) Steckley daughter of John Kipfer and Rachel (Oshee) Kipfer. Flossie was born in Battle Axe, Michigan died in Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas. John was born in Perth, Ontario, Canada died in Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

The White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas,
Flossie Pearl Steckley of Calico Rock, daughter of the late John and Rachel Oshee Kipfer, was born November 4, 1905 in Battle Axe, Michigan. She died February 22, 1997, at Calico Healthcare in Calico Rock. She was 91. Mrs. Steckley was united in marriage to John Steckley February 27, 1927 in Pigeon, Michigan.
Survivors include one son, Donald Steckley of North Port, Florida; one son-in-law, Russell Miller of Mountain Home; two sisters, Katie Shetler of Pigeon, Michigan; and Iva McApline of Elkton, Michigan; one brother, Clarence Kipfer of Pigeon, Michigan; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, and one grandson.
Services were held February 26, 1997 at the Mennonite Church in Calico Rock with Brother Jonathan Smith officiating. Pallbearers were John Steckley, John Grasse, Meryl Grasse, Linford Martin, Kern Cartwright and Terry Amstutz. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Steckley, Joshua Montgomery, Eric Rau and Austin Miller.
Interment was at the Mennonite Cemetery in Calico Rock under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock. The family requests memorials be made to the Mennonite Church in Calico Rock.
Note the last name of John's parents is different than spelling
