Kenneth L.C. Avey, 74 of Springdale died Aug. 10, 2004, in Springdale. He was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Alco, Arkansas to Luther and Caroline Farris Avey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Johnson and retired from Tyson Foods in 1990. His interests included riding horses, singing and playing music. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Lawson.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alba Powell Avey of the home; his mother, Caroline Rainbolt of Mountain View; one son, Kenny Avey and wife Glinda of Springdale; two daughters, Cathy Vaughan and husband Jerry and Phyllis Avey, all of Springdale; two brothers, John Avey of Mulberry and Kevin Rainbolt of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Raymond Martin, the Rev. Michael Martin and the Rev. Mitchell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Burkshed Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Avey, Nathan Avey, Tim Treat, Jon Lawson, Carl Sarratt and Rob Champlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Vaughan, Leon Treat, Ted Massey, Hubert Moore and Olen Lancaster.

SPRINGDALE - Alba Mae Avey, 77, of Springdale died March 28, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born April 12, 1930, in Timbo to Otis and Alma Fletcher Powell. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Avey in 2004 and also by a daughter, Barbara Lawson.

Survivors include one son, Kenny Avey and wife, Glinda, of Springdale; two daughters, Phyllis Avey of the home and Cathy Vaughan and husband, Jerry, of Springdale; four sisters, Syble Moore and Robie Lancaster, both of Mountain View, Gerene Treat of Gravette and Irene Martin of Hindsville; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home.

Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Revs. Raymond Martin, Mike Martin and Mitch Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Burkshed Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Avey, Nathan Avey, Tim Treat, Jonathon Lawson, Shawn Treat and Andy Breeden.

SPRINGDALE - Phyllis Diane Avey, age 63, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with the Lord Aug. 9, 2018. She was born Aug. 21, 1954, in Marshall, Ark., the daughter of Kenneth and Alba Powell Avey.

She was of the Baptist faith. She loved riding horses, fishing, music, dancing and all holidays.

She was preceded by her parents; one sister, Barbara Lawson; and one nephew, Timothy Treat.

She is survived by one brother, Kenny Avey and Glinda, of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Cathy Vaughan and Jerry, of Springdale, Ark.; three nephews: Kyle Avey, Nathan Avey and Jon Lawson; two nieces: Tami Scates and Laura Vaughan; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale, Ark. 72762, with Reverend Charlie Foster and Donnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Burkshed Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
