PATTERSON, John H. - J.H. Patterson, Uncle Bud, was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee July 9, 1851 and came to Pea Ridge, Arkansas with his parents when a child and has lived most of his life here. He
was married to Sarah A. Rich August 12, 1869. Six children were born to them, two died in infancy. Those left are John and Ab, who live in Colorado; Hunter, Avoca, Arkansas and Mrs. Finis Wood, a fine family. When about 20 years of age he was converted and joined the Pea Ridge Baptist Church. Was an active member until death. J.A. Hall.

John H. Patterson, better known to friends as Bud Patterson, died at his home at Pea Ridge July 30th at the age of 78 years. Funeral services were held for him Wednesday at the Methodist Church at Pea Ridge. Burial followed in Patterson cemetery. Mr. Patterson was born in Pea Ridge community and lived there most of his long life. Surviving are his widow, his sons, John and Ab Patterson of Trinidad, Colo.; Hunter Patterson of Avoca; and his daughter, Mrs. Phene of Cherokee City, and William of Pea Ridge.

John II. {Bud} Patterson, 78 years old, died yesterday at his home at Pea Ridge. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist church at Pea Ridge with burial in Patterson cemetery. A.D. Callison was in charge. Besides his wife Mr. Patterson leaves four children, John and Ab Patterson, both of Trinidad, Colo., Hunter Patterson of Avoca and Mrs. Finis Wood of Pea Ridge. He also had three brothers, John Patterson of Oklahoma, Phene of Cherokee City and William of Pea Ridge. He was a cousin of Frank Patterson of the Farmer's Trust company. "Bud" Patterson, as he was generally known, had lived in the vicinity of Pea Ridge almost all his life. He was born in that community.

PATTERSON, Mrs. Joseph H. - Mrs. Joseph H. Patterson died at the age of 77 years at her home on Pea Ridge April 23rd after an illness of many months. She is survived by two sons, H.H. Patterson of Avoca and Ab Patterson of Trinidad, Colo. and a daughter, Mrs. Finis Wood of Pea Ridge.
