PATTERSON, J.H. (Dick) - J.H. (Dick) Patterson, father of Miss Eva Patterson, secretary of the Farmers Trust Company of this city, died Tuesday morning at his home on Pea Ridge after a long illness. He was born on Pea Ridge, being a son of R.H. Patterson and wife, Benton county pioneers, and his entire life was spent there. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Misses Eva and Mae, and two sons, Homer and Hugh. Also by five brothers, W.T. Patterson of Pea Ridge; Frank and Bob Patterson of Rogers, and Sterling and Cabel; and two sisters, Mrs. George Prophet of Pea Ridge and Mrs. Thompson of Gravette. Funeral services were held at the home near Pea Ridge yesterday afternoon at 2:30 and were conducted by Rev. A.A. DuLaney, pastor of the Baptist church of Rogers. Despite the heavy rain which fell all afternoon a large number of friends and relatives were present to pay their last respects to the memory of the departed who has long been one of the most respected farmers of the community. Many flowers were sent from Rogers to the funeral and many more came from the Pea Ridge friends. Burial was in the Dick Miller cemetery.
