July 14, 1906 - March 7, 1969
Roosevelt Malone, 62, of Junction City, died early Friday morning at his home. Mr. Malone was born July 14, 1906 in Union County, the son of the late Joe and Alice Malone. He was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Irene Boone Malone; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Irene Hoof of Junction City, and Mrs. Rosetta Jones of Bernice, La.; eight sons, J. Van Malone, J. P. Malone, Jones Malone, Alvin Malone, Robert Malone, Charles Malone, T. W. Malone and Malvin Ray Malone, all of Junction City; 40 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Union Baptist Church with the Rev. J. H. Pears officiating. (El Dorado Times - March 11, 1969)
