Funeral services for Hamp Wilson, 81, were held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Proctor's Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Prospect Cemetery near Stephens. Mr. Wilson died early Saturday morning at his home, 513 Cleveland Avenue. He was a retired mechanic with the Arkansas State Highway Department, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Bankston Wilson; one son, J. L. Wilson of Camden; one brother, Bopie Wilson of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Mrs. Madge Foster of Magnolia, and three grandchildren. (Camden News - August 6, 1973)
