DAVID C. BAYS, 78, of Hamburg died Monday, May 26, 1997, at the Jefferson
Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was a native of Hamburg.He was a
retired farmer and veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended
Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church in the Milo community. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Alonzo and Nellie Swan Bays, a sister, Addie Tucker, and
a brother, Delmer Bays.Survivors include his wife, Mary Rosen Bays of Hamburg;
one son, David R.Bays of Monticello; two daughters, Nancy Pinson of Lonoke and
Melinda Brandonof Wynne; one sister, Ada Rosen of Hamburg; six grandchildren and
one special nephew, Mike Bays of Hamburg.Funeral services will be today (Wednesday,
May 28, 1997) at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home chapel of Hamburg by the Revs.
Tim Adair, Roy Craig and John Peters. Burial was in the Carlock Cemetery arranged
by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.Pallbearers were Maynard Kogley, Randell Amaden,
Bobby Wilson, Doug Wilson,Johnnie Ray Wilson, Ricky Sumner, Jimmy Norrell, Jim Bo
Mashburn, Bill Paschal and Jimmy Sumner.Memorials may be made to the Carlock
Cemetery Annex Fund, C/O Mike Bays, 331 Ashley Road 462, Hamburg, AR 71646.
