Opal K. Mason, 91, of Bentonville, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at a local nursing home.
She was born June 6, 1901, at Centerton to Morton Koons and Ova Motley Koons. She was a lifetime resident of the area and was active in church work at Vaughn Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henderson Mason, and a daughter, May Frances Mason.
Survivors are a daughter, Marjorie Clardy of Bentonville; a sister, Mamie Wilson of Bentonville; three grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vaughn Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Melvin Coffelt and the Rev. Burl Mattingley officiating. Burial is to be in Barron Cemetery. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville. Memorials may be made to Vaughn Presbyterian Church.
