Cromwell Funeral Marker

Mrs. Bertha Mae Woods, 69, of Crossett died Tuesday, August 31, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center. A life-long resident of Ashley County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Woods; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross; and three sisters, Mary Dooley, Clemmie Davis and Isabell Jackson. Survivors are her husband, Mr. Lonnie C. Woods of Crossett; two sons, Lonnie C. Woods, Jr., of Little Rock and Greg Woods of Crossett; two daughters, Sheila Tate and Shirley Mack of Crossett; a brother, Ray Edwards of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Helen Ann Wheeler of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, in the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church with Elder Alphonson Madden officiating. Pallbearers were Dolphen Williams, Rance Haynes, James Rich, William Mack, John Tate and Mike Jones. Burial followed services at the Pugh Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
