Mack Dodd, 71, of Bentonville died April 30, 1993, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born Sept. 8 , 1921, in Elkins, to Charles Perry Dodd and Bernice Williams Dodd.

He was employed by the U.S.D.A. as a poultry inspector before his retirement. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville where he had served as a deacon and elder.

Survivors inclue his wife, Alice Roughton Dodd; one daughter, Judy Dodd of Bentonville; one brother, Charles W. Dodd of Logansport, La.; and one sister, Mary Lou Hinton of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Benton County Memorial Park with Rev. Louise Bender officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville.

Alice Dodd of Bentonville died May 5, 2005, at Bentonville Manor. She was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Centerton to Robert W. and Opal Miller Roughton.

She graduated in 1941 from Bentonville High School.

She worked for Fox Deluxe Foods as a secretary, then later as the bookkeeper for her daughter's beauty salon.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville.

Her favorite pastimes were fishing, playing cards and rooting for the Razorbacks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mack Dodd, in 1993, and an infant brother.

She is survived by one daughter; several cousins; a niece; and a nephew.

A visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 6 at Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Bentonville.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.
