JOPLIN, Mo. — Mary Clara (Weber) Brandon, age 77, Joplin, Mo., passed away at her home Dec. 30, 2012.

She was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Plattsmouth, Neb., to Joseph Julius and Margaret Mary Weber. She was the third child of the family.

Her family later moved to Northwest Arkansas, where she met Paul Carol Brandon and they were married in February 1953 in Siloam Springs, Ark. They had 53 years together before Paul passed away in September 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda May Adkins, and an infant son, Donald Jay Brandon.

Survivors include a daughter, Retha Thomas and husband, Kenny, Joplin, Mo., a son, Paul Carol Brandon Jr., Noel, Mo.; three granddaughters, Adrienne Judd and husband, Brian, Webb City, Mo., Larissa Adkins, Joplin, Mo., Megan Brandon, Fayetteville, Ark.; one grandson, Talon Brandon, Fayetteville, Ark.; one great-granddaughter, Brecken Wofford, Fayetteville, Ark.; two great-grandsons, Brain Wofford and Christopher Judd.

Mary is also survived by all 13 of her siblings, which include five brothers from the Southwest Missouri area, Jim and wife, Shirley Weber, Mike and wife, Nancy Weber, Tim and wife, Gail Weber, Bill Weber and Joe Weber; one brother and four sisters from the state of California, Dave and wife, Jennifer Weber, Betty Jo Pojar, Pat Soderman, Dorothy Weber, Jan and husband, Tom Rutkowski; one brother, Danny and wife, Norma Weber, the state of Nevada; one sister, Peg and husband, Ken Koenning, the state of Texas; one brother, Tom Weber, Alaska; over 40 nieces and nephews, along with their spouses.

Mary was a homemaker for many years. She also worked at the Gateway Drug Store, Noel, Mo. and at the Walmart Warehouse in Bentonville, Ark.

Mary and Paul made their home in McDonald County for over 40 years. Mary moved to Joplin, Mo., after Paul passed.

Mary attended the Grace Baptist Church, Joplin, Mo. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. She loved to play her board game of marbles. She also had an entire room designated for her crafts and materials used for them.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Fred Vogel officiating. Burial will follow at Coffelt Cemetery, Vaughn, Ark. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin, Mo.
