Nick 16 Nov 1904 - 26 Aug 1981
Born in Jackson County, Arkansas, Nick's early life is a bit of a mystery to his family. His parents separated at some point, and Nick went to live with his father, while his sisters when to live with their mother. By 1927 Nick had moved to Saline County, Arkansas, where he met and married Alice Beatrice Drye. Four children came out of this marriage, David Lee, Bessie Elizabeth, Hazel Marie and James Edward.
Some time after 1930 Nick and his family moved to Reydel in Jefferson County, Arkansas, where he lived for many years. He worked as a commercial fisherman and a maker of moonshine for most of his adult life. After Alice's death, Nick married Mary Belle Wood, and they had five children: Kenneth Franklin, an unnamed infant, Mary Faye, William Nicky and Tommy. Nick moved into Dewitt in the early 1980's, where he lived until his death.
