Everette Montgomery Ramsey Sr. son of James Allen Ramsey and Ola Ida Everette. Betty Ilene (Odle) Harris Gates Ramsey daughter of Jesse Frank Odle and Sarah Evelena (Swiger) Odle.

Everette Montgomery Ramsey Sr., age 85, of Batesville, died Monday, January 23, 2012 in a local hospital. He was born April 17, 1926 in Sikeston, Missouri to Allen Ramsey and Ola Everett Ramsey. He was a member of the Marine Corps, Army Reserve, Merchant Marines, and the Civil Air Patrol. Everette was of the Methodist faith.

Everette is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Ramsey; a step-daughter, Kathleen Ramsey; 3 brothers: James Ramsey, John Ramsey, Richard Ramsey; and a sister, Naomi Rudd

Survivors include 3 sons: Everette Montgomery Ramsey Jr. of Michigan, Jeffery Lynn Ramsey of Batesville, Rodney Keith Ramsey of Batesville; 3 daughters: Gloria Jean Ivy of Oklahoma, Vickie Annette Willson of Newport, Tammy Darlene Hatton of Batesville; 2 sisters, Allene Masters of Oklahoma, Peggy Ogdem of Michigan; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel with David Insell officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Hatton Jr., Jacob Hatton, Paul Ramsey, Everette Ramsey III, John Ramsey, and Sherman Lynn Ivy Jr. Honorary pallbearers are James Ramsey, Josh Ramsey, Jason Ramsey, and Bradley Willson.

Betty Ilene Odle Ramsey, 69, of Batesville died Wednesday March 17 at her home. She was born Dec. 31, 1934 in Indiana to Jesse Frank Odle and Evelena Sarah Swiger Odle.

Mrs. Ramsey was the owner of The Home Place Real Estate company, past committee member of the Batesville parade board, past president of the real estate board, and a sales manager for real estate in California. She held various positions on the local real estate board, and was warehouse manager and secretary for Kentucky Fried Chicken in California and also director of catering in California. She was a member of the Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Hodges.
