Harley Shannon
Harley Gordon Shannon, 78, of Rogers, died Sunday, Nov. 15, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1914, at Leming, Texas, to Jessie Lee Shannon and Mary Texana Shannon. He was a resident of this area 17 years and was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church. He was a civil service employee.
Survivors are his wife, Darleen Salazar Shannon; two daughters, Billie Jo Ericks and Shirley Rodgers, both of Rogers; two brothers, Horace Garland Shannon of Rogers and Otha Haywood Shannon of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas H. Gripka officiating. Burial is to be in Rambo Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers. Visitation is set for 2-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
