December 29, 1898 - May 13, 1967
Carl E. Castleberry, 68, died Saturday in a Ruston, La., hospital following a long illness. He was a well known Junction City business man. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Selma Castleberry, one son, George Otis Castleberry, St. Cloud, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. J. T. McDonald, Mrs. Ted Green, both of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Mary Odom, Bridge City, Tex., Mrs. A. C. Chittly, Kilgore, Tex. and Mrs. Tony Hren, Fort Worth, Tex.; and two brothers, J. W. Castleberry, Stockdale, Tex., and Leon Castleberry, Florien, La. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Junction City, with the Rev. Harold Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery by Pratt Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be George Carrol, Jerry Disotel, Oliver Turnage, G. D. Adams, E. D. Norris and Wilmar Ratcliff.
