Wife of Albert Monroe Dean and they were the parents of Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean and Paul Dee "Daffy" Dean.
As a young man, Albert Dean took a job making ties for the railroad. The work crew began in Oklahoma and moved eastward into Arkansas. Workers boarded in homes along the way. Around 1904, Albert Dean moved into Logan County. He boarded in the home of James and Lucy (Meadows) Nelson. The Nelsons had a daughter Alma. Albert Dean and Alma Nelson were married on July 16, 1905.
Alma died of tuberculosis on March 7, 1917
