Nora Christine Williams of Lake Village died Monday, April 5, 1999, at the Beverly Heath and Rehabilitation Center in Hamburg where she had been a resident the past three years. She was born in Rodessa, LA, to the late Emmett and Donie Wallace and moved to Hamburg in 1915. She was a licensed practical nurse who worked in health care in the Lake Village area for many years. The widow of Robert P. Williams, who died in 1971, she was a member of the Lake Village Baptist Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors are two nephews, Charles Burgess and wife Jerry of Hamburg and Eugene Burgess and wife Fae of Oak Grove, LA, and a niece, Christine Holland and husband Doug of Bastrop, LA. Grave-side services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Lake Village City Cemetery with arrangements by Steele Funeral Home of Lake Village.
