Aged 60 Years

*Obituary
Rogers Democrat
Thursday, August 3, 1916

Mary Elizabeth Fry died at the home of her sister, Mrs. James Swingle near Rogers, Ark. July 21st, 1916. She was taken sick at Carthage, Mo. but kept at work for three months. When she was not able to work any longer she came to her sister's home where she suffered for four months without a murmur, bearing her pain and afflictions without a word of complaint until death relieved her suffering. She was attended by many loving friends and neighbors who were glad to do anything they could for her comfort. The funeral was held at Pace's Chapel after which she was tenderly laid to rest. Mary lived in Ash Grove many years and it seemed more like home to her than any other place. She always had a good word for Ash Grove and the people there. Born January 14, 1855 in Kentucky. A Friend.
