This cemetery is on private property. For years I thought it was the Thomas Cemetery as it was on the old Thomas property. I recently was told that it is known as the Kemp Cemetery. It is in very sad condition. There are probably 12-15 graves but most of the markers are on the ground and are covered with grass. The most recent recorded grave is 1916. There is a stone crypt that is falling down near the center of the cemetery. The other graves are around the crypt. The property owner has put a very nice fence around the graves to keep his cattle out of the graves.
To reach this cemetery, go south from Waldron on Highway 71 and turn right or west on Highway 248. Go approximately 5 miles to Winfield and turn left on Nella Road. The cemetery is 4 miles from this intersection on the left. It is in a pasture with cattle in the pasture. Be certain to close the gate.
