Evie Jean Long Avey, 82, of Timbo, AR entered into rest on July 25, 2009 in Mountain View, AR. Evie Jean was born May 24, 1927 in Big Springs, AR to Gertrude Gower Long and Lewis Long.
She is survived by her son Larry Avey of Newnata, AR; her daughter Lisa Galloway and husband Presley of Mtn. View, AR; grand-children Casey Bryant and Riley Galloway; brother Raymond Long of Newnata, AR and sisters Edith Harris of Newnata, AR and Onvia Walker of Wake Forest, NC.
Evie Jean was preceded in death by her parents Gertrude and Lewis Long; her husband Dale Avey; grand-daughter Kelli Avey; brother Charles Long and sister Gennie Lea Haney.
Pallbearers were Clyde Cavender, Ronald Long, Kenneth Scott, Stacey Avey, Dwain Crymes and Bobby Joe Gower. Honorary Pallbearers are Susan Scott, Tracy Dobbins, Vickie Templin, Janet Harris and Connie Martin.
