Connis O. Avey, age 68 passed away at his home on Monday, August 10, 2009. He was born July 28, 1941 to Robert and Gypsy (Roberts) Avey in Gentry, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Gypsy Avey, two brothers: Bob and Jewell and one sister: Joyce.
He was in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, and was a Vietnam veteran. He loved to play the guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Elberta of the home, two sisters: Lois Daniels of California, and Janice Burkhart of Flippin, Arkansas, and two brothers: Cheston Avey of Inman, South Carolina, and Marion Avey of Chico, California.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Roller-Coffman chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at the Elberta Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas with Danny Mercer officiating.
Arrangement are under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
