Bethel Olivia Harness Derickson age 92 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton, Arkansas. She was born to James B. and Hannah (Wilson) Harness April 06, 1917.

Bethel was an active member in the Leslie United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping with her grandkids, gardening, and her flowers. She also enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends at the Senior Center.

Bethel married her lifetime companion of sixty-nine wonderful years, Bob Derickson on September 2, 1939; the Lord blessed this family with one son Bill Derickson.

Her husband Bob Derickson; four sisters Ida Rolen, Veda Blair, Beulah Sutterfield, Etta Harrell and one brother J.B. Harness; her parents James and Hannah Harness precede her in death.

Bethel is survived by on son; Bill and wife Thelma Derickson of Leslie, two granddaughters; Shawn and husband Gregg Ragland of Marshall, and Michelle and Todd Ragland of Leslie, and her babies three great-grandchildren; Isaac Ragland of Marshall, Arkansas, Courtney and Cassidy Ragland of Leslie, Arkansas.

Visitation will be Monday, April 20,2009 from 6—8 PM at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Leslie United Methodist Church in Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. James Lann officiating. Pallbearers will be Stan Hayes, Jeff Massey, Charles Morrison, Jim Kimbrell, Jim Adams, and Donnie Collins.

Burial will be in the Elberta Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.

Robert G. “Bob” Derickson, age 97 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born to Harry and Hilda (Olson) Derickson May 07, 1911 in Redwing, Minnesota.

Bob was active member in the Leslie United Methodist Church; he also served on the Searcy County Bank Board, Leslie City Council, and Leslie School Board, and the Lion’s Club. Bob worked in the family business for several years with his father. Pop (Harry) retired in 1952 leaving Bob with a junkyard and Derickson Lumber Company which Bob later enlarged the lumber and hardware division and did away with the junk.

Bob married Bethel Harness on September 02, 1939; the Lord blessed them with a son on December 14, 1940; Bill Derickson. Bob and Bethel have been happily married for sixty-nine years.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Hilda (Olson) Derickson, and two sisters: Harriett Ranker and Dora Kaylor.

Bob is survived by his wife Bethel, one son: Bill and wife Thelma Derickson of Leslie, Arkansas, one brother: John Derickson and wife Jerry of North Little Rock, Arkansas, two granddaughters: Shawn and husband Greg Ragland of Marshall, Arkansas and Michelle and husband Todd Ragland of Leslie, Arkansas and three great-grandchildren: Isaac Ragland of Marshall, Arkansas, Courtney and Cassidy Ragland of Leslie, Arkansas.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 6—8 PM at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.

Services will be Friday, September 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Leslie United Methodist Church with James Lann officiating. Pallbearers will be Aaron Wilson, Stan Hayes, Jim Adams, James Kimbrell, Jeff Massey and Charlie Morrison.

Burial will be in the Elberta Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall.
