SHERIDAN -- Joe Edward Rudkins, 87, of Sheridan, died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. He was born Oct. 8, 1917, at Sheridan, a son of the late John Rudkins and Mattie Puckett Rudkins.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired self-employed auto mechanic. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Rudkins. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Hester Rudkins; one daughter, Sandra Boswell of Batesville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at Sheridan with the Revs. Steve Cypert, Tommy Cypert and Marvin Webb officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.
