March 13, 1923 - May 4, 1969
Mrs. Gladys Inez Sanders, 46, of 527 Euclid St., died at her home early Sunday morning. Mrs. Sanders was born in Bearden March 13, 1923, the daughter of Fred and Vinnie Sullivan Hopkins. She had resided in El Dorado for the past 21 years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include; her husband, J. C. Sanders, El Dorado; two sons, Fred C. Sanders and Victor E. Sanders, both of El Dorado; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hopkins, Thornton; three brothers, Alton Hopkins, Thornton, Laverne Hopkins, Little Rock, and Bruce Hopkins, El Dorado; and two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Skaggs, Shreveport, La., and Mrs. Janette Garner, Fordyce. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. C. C. Grace officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Active pallbearers will be Hubert Glenn, Albert Glenn, Bob Garrett, John Lowery, Kenneth Mullins and Howard Eudy. (El Dorado Times - May 5, 1969)
