SHERIDAN -- Margaret Alice Koon Donaldson, 89, of Sheridan, died Monday at her home.
She was born June 29, 1915, in Grant County, a daughter of the late Henry Hillary Koon and Sophronia Rebecca Puckett Koon. She was a charter member of Hope Pentecostal Church at Sheridan, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, church secretary, church reporter and past president and vice president of the ladies auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Donaldson; two daughters, Jimmie Rae Hollis and Bonnie June Donaldson; one brother, Boyce Koon; and four sisters, JoElma Swindal, Edna Crutchfield, Inez Harrington and Jewell Dean Koon. Survivors include three sons, John Donaldson of Pine Bluff, Joe H Donaldson and Mike Donaldson, both of Sheridan; two daughters, Mary Sisson of Fordyce and Evelyn McCool of Woodlawn; one brother, Raymond Koon of Sheridan; three sisters, Eula Ross, Ruth Stubbs and Faye Williams, all of Sheridan; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday at Hope Pentecostal Church with Walt Hollis and Hugh Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at Sheridan.
