Robert “Bud” Carlton Elkins, 71, of Pine Bluff died at his home Tuesday. Born July 4, 1935, at Sheridan, he was a son of the late John Earl and Gwinne Lena Shephard Elkins. He helped operate a booth at the Blake Street Flea Market at Pine Bluff for many years. Survivors include three sons, Dewayne Jacks and Gary Jacks, both of Jonesboro, and Jimmy Jacks of Tacoma, Wash; a daughter, Debbie Johnson of North Little Rock; and two sisters, Earlene Shoptaw of Sheridan and Marcelee Cooper of Jacksonville. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Sams Elkins, and his second wife, Laura Ann Elkins.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan with Michael Walton officiating. The family will hold a private gathering after the service.
