When Hurshul L Orrell was born on September 6, 1927, in Perry, Arkansas, his father, Fred, was 20 and his mother, Tela, was 19. He married Anna Bell Jake on May 18, 1951, in Yell, Arkansas. He died on May 4, 2003, in Benton, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried in his hometown.
